We are open for business. Despite the unprecedented nature of these times, some things stay the same. A person may go to bed one night feeling fine but may wake up in severe pain the next day. Also, some people are recovering from recent surgeries and need the expert care of a physical therapist, lest they develop complications that could last years. Physical therapists in outpatient settings such as ours are among those healthcare personnel considered “essential.” By being available for patients in-person or via the evolving telehealth options, we are helping to keep patients out of the emergency room and the doctor’s office.
We continue to closely monitor and follow CDC recommendations and are taking every precaution to keep our patients and our staff healthy and safe, including thorough cleaning. We are continuing to screen established patients at each visit, and new patients prior to being scheduled and upon arrival. Our staff continues to closely monitor themselves on a daily basis for any signs of illness.
In light of recent CDC recommendations that Americans wear face coverings in public, our staff will now be wearing face masks. Patients are encouraged to wear coverings as well, but are not required to do so.
Telehealth has recently been opened up as a practice option for Maryland physical therapists as a response to the COVID19 pandemic. Most insurances are participating to some degree, although they each have their own interpretations and rules. Please contact our office with questions regarding your specific insurance and telehealth coverage.
As always, stay safe and healthy. Please reach out via email at email@example.com or by phone at 410-747-1600, if you feel that you are in need of physical therapy.
